S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting for 2013

12 Jan

What do you want to accomplish in 2013?

Congratulations!  You are one semester closer to graduating with a degree from the University of Arizona!  While classes may become increasingly more focused and more difficult as you continue in your major, many would argue that the first semester of college is the most challenging.  Learning to balance classes, work, family, and friends in a completely new environment is not simple, but you did it!

My advice is: do not slow down.  You should definitely take time to celebrate your accomplishments, but now it’s time to look to the future and to continue taking advantage of new opportunities to learn and grow as a student.  What are some areas you can be stronger in?  Now is also the time to think of goals that you can accomplish this semester, and work toward them!  Make sure that your goals are specific and attainable.
