Make Spring Fling a Time to Remember

4 Apr

Spring Fling will be here sooner than you think. If this is your first time attending the carnival, here are a few things you should know to make your experience a time to remember:

Hours of Operation: Spring Fling is a three day event beginning Friday, April 8th to Sunday, April 10th. What’s important to know is the time that the event starts and ends. The carnival is open Friday from 4pm to 11pm, Saturday from 11am to 11pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. An important thing to keep in mind is that Admission closes one hour prior to closing time.

Things to Know: Admission to the Spring Fling is $5 but there are also plenty of promotions that can help you save money:

Daily

  • Free admission with CatCard and Military ID

  • Free admission for children under 7

 Friday

  • Free Admission with student school ID (including middle/high school)

 Sunday

These promotions are a great way to make sure you have an great time without breaking the bank!

  • Parking: No one wants to pay an arm and leg just for parking. Some quick tips about parking on the days of the carnival are:
    • Free parking on Saturday and Sunday available in the garages (Highland Avenue, Park Avenue Main Gate, Tyndall Avenue, and 6th Street).
    • South of Sixth and north of Speedway lots are free after 4pm on Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
    • Meter rates are as posted.
    • Parking will be $5 at any other time.

Now lets get to the fun stuff!!!

  • Rides & Games: Spring Fling has 20+ rides and games!  If you’re planning to get on rides, wristbands are the most cost-efficient option. The wristband allows you unlimited rides at the carnival. Also the lines could get a bit long so make sure you plan accordingly and bring water bottles to stay hydrated while out in the Arizona sun.
  • Performances: There will also be a number of performances during the three day carnival. To see who all is performing, please visit the UA Spring Fling Website.

Alright everyone, I hope you all feel a little bit more prepared for what to expect at University of Arizona’s Spring Fling. Most importantly I hope you all have an amazing time while attending the carnival and that it becomes a time that you’ll never forget.

Until Next Time,

Darius Amos
